Online Counselling
Online counselling offers flexibility and accessibility, making it easier to fit therapy into your life. Sessions take place over a secure video platform, allowing you to connect from a space where you feel comfortable. Many clients find that working online helps them settle into the process more easily, and appreciate the convenience of reduced travel time and greater choice in how they structure their week.
The therapeutic relationship remains at the heart of the work, whether we meet online or in person. If you’re unsure whether online counselling would suit you, we can talk this through in the introductory session and explore what feels most supportive for you.
Face-to-Face Counselling
For some people, being physically in the same room creates a sense of presence and connection that feels important for their therapeutic process. Face-to-face sessions take place in a calm, private setting in the centre of Southampton, offering a space where you can arrive, settle and explore whatever you’re bringing at your own pace.
If you’re deciding between online and in‑person sessions, we can discuss what each option might offer you and consider what feels most comfortable and helpful for the work you want to do.
Accessibility
My counselling room is on the second floor and is only accessible by stairs – there is no lift access. I recognise this may make in‑person sessions difficult or not possible for some people, and I’m working towards finding a more accessible space in the future. Online sessions remain available for anyone who would prefer or require them.

Hybrid Counselling
I am committed to making counselling as accessible as possible, so for those that need a bit more flexibility, I offer hybrid counselling. This approach combines face-to-face and online counselling, allowing you to switch between the two according to your schedule, health or preferences. Many people prefer face-to-face sessions but find they can’t always attend due to issues such as health, transport, or even the weather! Hybrid counselling allows you to attend face-to-face sessions when you can, and continue with your sessions online in the weeks when you can’t make it in person.
Fees
Choosing a counsellor is an important decision, which is why I offer an introductory session at a reduced rate of £45. This 50‑minute session gives us both space to explore what you’re hoping for from counselling and to get a sense of whether working together feels like a good fit.
If you decide to continue, ongoing sessions (online or face‑to‑face) are 50 minutes and cost £60 per session. Payment is made in advance by bank transfer. If you have any questions about fees or how sessions are structured, you’re very welcome to get in touch.
Areas I work with
People come to counselling for many different reasons, and every person’s experience is unique. I work with a wide range of emotional, relational, and life‑based challenges, and the focus of our work is always on what matters most to you.
Some of the themes that clients commonly explore with me include:
- anxiety, stress, or feeling overwhelmed
- burnout or chronic pressure
- low mood or depression
- low self‑esteem, shame or self‑criticism
- perfectionism or feeling you need to “get things right”
- relationship or family difficulties
- boundaries, people‑pleasing or feeling responsible for others
- questions around identity or sense of self
- grief, loss, or major life changes
- difficulty managing strong emotions or emotional intensity
- feeling isolated or struggling to connect with others
- the impact of adverse childhood experiences
- living with ADHD, autism, or other forms of neurodivergence
- feeling stuck, disconnected or unsure how to move forward
- wanting things to be different but not knowing where to start
- feeling a pull towards change, growth or clarity
This list isn’t exhaustive, so if you don’t see your situation reflected here, you’re still very welcome to get in touch. A short outline of what you’d like support with is enough; we can explore things in more depth during your initial session.
I will work with you as a whole person; thoughts, feelings, physical sensations, and patterns and I’m guided by your lived experience rather than assumptions or labels. If you bring something I’m less familiar with, I can deepen my understanding through further training and study so that my work remains responsive and supportive to your needs.
I am currently undertaking further training in psychosexual and relationship therapy, and will be expanding my work to include this area as my practice develops.
